I carry a 6x6 sketchbook which fits easily into a back pocket. I use a ball point pen or tech pen which is better than a pencil, as the pencil will wear out from rubbing on the pages. If I'm not sure where I'm going with a character, I'll use a pencil to throw down some lines and then pick out what i want with a pen, or… -

thanks man :) They're done in my moleskin sketchbook, so about 8" x 5.5" per page. I was working larger, but wanted to pull in to work smaller for a while.
