There are many techniques that speed up the process of rendering for games. Today, video memory bandwidth, memory capacity and draw calls is more concerning then poly count. But you shouldn't have any problem working with a single model on any DCC tool, even when using all kind of eye candy. Maybe your computer is not…
More or less complete with the rough leg sculpting. Just not sure how to proceed with the hoof or armor plates just yet. I will have to collect some reference material on hard organic surfaces like chitin and horse hooves before I proceed. Maybe draw some inspiration from previous armored monsters people have made.
This parts looks very strange for me. But im just start to learn paint textures and handpainted so i can mistake hard ))) And looking at the concept there is nor such details like you draw, probably it's your style but i think this can look to noisy you should check it on the distance. And i noticed one more strange thing…
Was at a job fair yesterday and one guy noticed my drawings. I was surprised. Meanwhile, I'm looking to pick up 2 books to help me. There are so many other cool books out there I want to own but they're out of my price bracket! :poly122: It's now a goal of mine to purchase them when I have a job!!!!!!
be careful, that concept art has a lot of depth perspective in it, simply superimposing your 3d model on it to match the scale of the drawing wont do it justice. The head is small at the top because from our view it looks smaller, think of looking up at a building and seeing it shrink at the top (the robot isnt that tall…
Works just as well as a wacom in any app and costs about the same as just the pen. There's no pen tilt, but I don't think anyone uses that anyway? Also the drawing surface isn't quite as nice as the intuos 4+, it's quite rough and plastic-y. And the pen feels a bit flimsy in comparison. Also there's no eraser on top of the…
As a wannabe artist, I chose Blender for monetary reasons, but you're making me quite happy I did. I definitely like its shortcuts as I can't stand to pick thing from menus. It completely destroys any flow I've got going. I love the Diorama, too. Especially seeing the initial drawing and the final result.
This is looking really good so far! I normally hate unsolicited advice but since it's small and easily fixed, you might want to give a little more space at the top where the bomb sits on the edge if the image. Either that or have it overlap more so it's not a tangent because it draws the eye. Other than that I love how…
Ya definitely story, and location/setting? Where is this supposed to be. And I think its interesting that you chose not to include the front of the windmill which is admittedly the most interesting part in your shot... Maybe go back to the drawing board on this one, and work out a pleasing composition and shot /w…
Hey Ro-Bo, yeah I had to move/cut some of her hair to fit it inside the big collar. About the eyes, I think I'll keep them red because I was planning to use a dark purple as this character main color, with small red areas to draw attention to them, like the eyes, the collar, the cape...
