I don't see why you can't show both in your portfolio. In a production environment, some assets may be unique and some may use the same tiling texture as 5 other assets. Some models might even have multiple matIDs with one id being a unique unwrap and bake, with the other ids utilizing tiling textures. Knowing what to make…
Yeah, that’s how I would normally think to do modular environment prices. This particular situation though had me scratching my head a bit because of the placement of those divisions (or separations/lines or whatever you wanna call it) in the concrete wall. If I just use a tiling concrete material it would look completely…
@Jakub: Thanks, glad you like it! @Brian Panda Choi: Yes you are correct, I didn't use extrusion for the clothing. If there is an inner part of the clothing exposed (i.e. the inner part of the collar), that is done with retoplogy all in one go. Usually the inner parts of the clothing are less detailed in the wireframe.

So, it's a collection of preset metal parts + a script you've labeled the "Metal Hive" which shows a series of icons that represent each part. You click on one of the icons and it'll import that part into your scene and then snap+scale it to whatever faces you already have selected? Is that about right?
This is a known issue with the Ak-47, and as far as I know it's unfixable.. just ignore that part of the ak-47 since it shares uv's, this part is never visible in-game so it doesn't matter how that looks. You are talking about this part on the ak right? Sorry for filling your thread with this 9thknight!
posing, trying out all sorts of variations. this is fun :) “either you are part of the problem, or part of the solution. or part of the landscape.” (quote from a movie with robert de niro, don´t remember the name) “empires are the coldest of all beasts” (i read this in a book written by peter scholl latour)
Hello everyone, I just got the e-mail saying that I'm accepted to The Guildhall, at SMU:). I was just wandering if anyone had any suggestions on apartments. I'm looking for a cheap studio apartment or 1 bedroom, preferably near the Guildhall. I was just wandering if anyone who lives in Plano could suggest some good places.…
The shape of the upper portion of the boots is a bit off. There is a distinct crease at the front, and presumably one at the rear as well. The top edge is also much sharper, while yours looks almost rolled. The boots' sole doesn't look quite right; perhaps they should be a bit thinner, with a small upwards curve towards…
Make your unwraps as straight as possible. And try to get the same amount of pixels on both sides of the seam Like this: If you look closely you can see that the taillights are split in two with a few pixels on the side of the car. But because both the side and the back of the lamps are 5 (or 7, if you include the darker…
