This might be the ATI driver issue with most of the newer drivers, you can revert to some older drivers or you can use this trick here vvvv *Note this doesn't work for the 6000 or higher series cards because they aren't supported by the older drivers. 11.3 supposedly removes the selection lag issue.
Hello! Some time ago I finished a project and thought I’d make a breakdown of the whole process from start to finish. This is not a detailed tutorial for every step but rather an overview over the process that I hope will help people (especially beginner 3D artists) get a better understanding of how the pipeline works.…
Greetings! I'm Tyler Jessalynn, one of the lead designers from TDGMods. Currently we are working on a commercial(free) title called Hypertension. We are in the process of converting some of our older sprite objects/weapons into 3D models. We work in older formats such as MD2/MD3. The poly count would need to be keep below…
Update * added secondary ceiling structure to brake up the tiled ceilings a bit * added chains to the chandeliers and created a small blueprint to make them instances and editable lengths * added standing candle holders and sconces * added pews (not totally happy with them and probably will do more detailed versions but…
Still find it hard to believe, it's not just the lighting that's different, there's entire areas that look different, meshes and textures included. Just look how much more contrast there is in the older screens to the blander-fullbright screens from the ps3/360 release. I do hope the PC version is like those older screens.
Hello. I was looking into what's the "official" colour of sunlight. Is it yellow, is it white? As it is, the sunlight that touches the surface of objects on earth can be slightly yellow or warm, depending on the time of day and the altitude of your scene. This can be found through observation, but I was looking for a…
Yeah. I feel ya'. I've got stuff that goes back as far, if not more. With that older stuff, those big boxes take up space with those huge manuals and whatnot. I usually just give my older stuff to friends & relatives who are interested in learning CG, but don't have the money.
Ok, so what am I missing if I don't download an older build. Is it just an inconvenience now with newer builds to place small foliage assets or is there more benefits of downloading an older build. I guess I am not sure what I am missing as I haven't played with foliage yet.
Hey guys, I have a couple general questions about how to optimize my game better. Im making a desktop pc game. In the largest scenes, tri count rarely exceeds 500k, until you turn on shadows. Then it can go from 1-3 million. I've disabled shadow casting on all but the essential character and enviro pieces. I have baked…
Hi everybody! Thought I would start up a thread here to encourage myself to keep working hard on improving my skills. Critique is very much welcome, I always appreciate comments on my work and what I could be doing better. I've been doing a sketch a day since Jan 1, 2012 (the project also has a tumblr). I started out as a…
