Heh, I thought I could get away with being a little lazy with the roots with none the wiser, but I guess not. Fixed up the root system and rocks and finished the branches up top. Before too long I'm going to make 2 or 3 modular roots I can plug into the base, so I'll see how that goes. Anyway, thanks all, for the input. -

Agreed I will be taking a look at the cliffs to try and polish them up so they read better I think adding more of a modular rock system would work better. As far as the wood goes should I just paint out all the high frequency detail so its a bit more flat? I feel that would over simplify the wood and the building? -

Your Sci-Fi tank needs less "CrazyBump MakeArt Button" with your spec and normals, and I think you need to better understand the creation of High Poly and Specular maps to be effective.
