Hey Polycounters, I spend most of my time on Polycount lurking in the shadows, but decided to do a WIP thread of a new personal project I just started. It's a matter of personal opinion. But as for me I think I can easily get $30 worth of fun out of it. I would look into it some more if you are unsure. But it is fun and I have no regrets buying it.
I could see how Fez is interesting and fun, but I'm with your friend about Journey. No matter how many sites or reviews shove it in your face, that game will never look fun and/or interesting to me.

IT might be fun, until you see in house tools you must use. Not everyone is using UE and Cascade Editor. Other than that I agree doing effects is very fun, but it is very technical job.
