A clean install probably wouldn't hurt - try using Suite 2.3.1 in a new folder instead of the default Suite 2.0 directory, and launch from that folder.

Yes. Go to the project folder, go to the config folder there, and open defaultengine.ini. Search for "r.RayTracing" and set its value to "False". Then save the file and open the project.

Yes, that's basic source control usage. Go inside the folder you want to update, right-click, get latest. It won't get any files in any other folders. If you want to get ev erything updated for the whole project, then you go to the root folder instead.
I had the same problem, just put the RoadKill.exe in C:\RoadKill\... and it should work (I also applied "full control" to that folder in the permissions folder properties )
Are you switching folders or workstations? It loses Mats for me when I do that, but if I keep everything in one folder without subpacking, it should load correctly.
