I think I did that three necklace thing you're talking about. It was quite fancy. Also I agree with you about Smithing Habboi. I'm going to intentionally avoid it next time I play so it doesn't ruin dungeon exploring for me. A large part of why I loved exploring was to find a new fancy piece of gear but there's literally…
Same feeling here, I was giddy all the way through FO3, especially with the radio playing all these ironically happy songs and the sun shining. Skyrim plays more on the epic feeling of being awesome even when you're in the most hostile environments in tamriel. I think what attributes to people thinking it might be linear…
If there's a trap in the dungeon, is it possible to kite the boss to it? I'm totally curious to see how far you can go without actually "killing" something. edit: Bah, pretty sure there isn't a trap in those cells... plenty before hand, though. Boo.
Just wanted to drop in and say this is possibly the best game I have ever played. I'll write up my complete thoughts sometime this week, as it will take some time to put together, and I need to use the rest of my Sunday for Skyrim :) And I'll just post this for now, as I was quite proud of it. 3 hours in the Forelhost…
"If you talk to Erandiel, he'll tell you that someone stole part of the cheese supply for his shop and he needs you to find the thief. Unless you killed him, then it'll be his wife. Or his son. And it might not be cheese. It might be some potions. Or some leather strips. It just kinda depends. Once you've received the…
Haha yeah as I've majored in conjuration, it seems that if anything gives me trouble in Skyrim now, I can just send out a summon to kick it's arse. Also I dunno if I was in a Falmer dungeon or a Dwemer dungon with Falmer's in. It was still amazing though, and lots of gold.
I just cleared a dungeon by kiting huge groups of monsters through a single insta-death trap near the beginning of the cave. Shoulda screenshotted the pile of bodies. Haven't gotten this sucked into a game since... shit, I guess when world of warcraft first came out. Fuck.
Yeah, why they never decided to let you have separate profiles for a game like this I've never understood. Do they really expect people to just play one character? One thing I guess I'll mention - the "radiant story" stuff is AWESOME. It's incredible the number of things I've encountered that I know are being handled by…
That is what im starting to notice also. The world doesn't have as much content as oblivion did Forrest wise. Its mostly just mountains and valleys, with everything taking place in dungeons. Quests are too linear for me, its basically a bunch of mini campaigns you walk around and choose to do.
I just don't get the Skyrim appeal. I tried to like it! I've traveled from one side of Skyrim to the next and have visited many dungeons in between. It all looks the same. Same texture palettes, same props, same rocks and trees. It feels like one giant level. : )
