New gears environments looked really nice, too much kinect though, Im actually dreading sonys conference now :( hopefully they concentrate on games and not becoming the new facebook like xbox wants to be.
I can see all these Kinect type games killing off gaming altogether, you know we're doing all the actions already we might as well go outside and do the real thing.
In japan they use these body position games to humiliate people and entertain others. This kinect product is going to crash and burn pretty fast me thinks, the novelty is simply gone. I don't know anyone who plays their wii any more.
holy shit this kinect is like watching a car crash in slow motion. super fake enthusiasm, shitttttty animations and games that just dont look fun. and the crowd is just not impressed either, barely any applause. i missed the gears stuff earlier. lame
That car at the end, Jesus. The heck is the polycount for that thing? just insane! I'm not really much of a car person, but, that I'm actually interesting. Also on the Kinect, can you say anything about how many frames of your movement it captures and how quickly it does this? Seemed to be about a second of lag or so on…
I wonder how long it will be till Microsoft releases a "wand controler" for Kinect. I doubt it will be too long. I just cant see the system being viable for anything but games you wave your hands at the TV and games on rails. I like the whole minority report style of it all but you need a controller to actually have real…
come on now, they spent a lot of time on kinect, doesnt mean we have to in here, you guys are just as boring :) In all seriousness - that 2 person tubing game looks fucking fun!!!! wasnt soo excited about the platform dodging one, but if there are more games like the tubing one, that' rule. I thought the exercise stuff…
I find the 360-slim announcement interesting. I can't help but recall the famed "Saturn Incident." Retailers across North America are going to be PISSED at Microsoft. Most of them are going to be left holding 360 hardware that they will have to discount heavily to get rid of. It is at least good that they made this…
Well I found it interesting and liked most of it. Microsoft seems to have gotten marketing done proper, the games shown with kinect and the demonstrations were (although horribly cheesy acting wise) informative enough to make me interested in the entire thing. Reach, Gears, Rising, Fable etc looked pretty damn cool.…
They pulled a new, improved version of their hardware out on an unsuspecting populace. For the video game players, this is all well and good. Their might be a little regret for anyone who bought a 360 in the past month or so. But the rest of us certainly don't mind having more options. But this was a royally dick move for…
