Part 8 is up. Get up to speed on Blender's Sharp/Unsharp edges and how it pertains to our Smoothing Groups Max-brains.... (playlist link) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bqKoUqbzn1Q&list=PLFR9irzqqKRp7rCwrRSKE9pIIxfj0Dl7G
WOW THIS SMOKE SIMULATION STUFF IS AWESOME! If I could only do one click baking instead of having to play the animation through, however... that'd be nice. Trying to create a 8 frame looped fire with it is hard.
Pretty good looking iOS game made in Blender with a little how-to. http://itunes.apple.com/app/ratnband/id447849266?mt=8# http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?226064-Rat-n-Band-game-created-with-Blender
I updated GOZ for blender 2.8. More info: https://bartoszstyperek.wordpress.com/2018/12/14/goz-for-blender-2-8/ You can grab it from: https://www.dropbox.com/s/971ykjro968jlnz/GoB_2.8.0.zip?dl=0
@Linko much appreciated, will have a look tonight and update on my end. As for float precision bakes: i was planning to look into dithering down to 8 bit per channel to avoid banding on normals, this might apply to these grayscale images as well.

Interesting plans for the upcoming year and 2.8 version. Rather than doing the usual bi-monthly releases, Blender 2.8 would take a year to finish, with more focus and greater changes (like it was done with the 2.5 that brought the new UI). http://code.blender.org/2015/07/blender-2-8-the-workflow-release/
2.8 entered the Beta phase today. Usually that doesn't matter much, since you can download new builds daily anyway. In this case, the bug reporter also gets opened, so things can hopefully stabilize quicker. https://www.blender.org/2-8/?fbclid=IwAR3GcfCCXnz1bU1U75QxfM2Kusjoq7uh4JtH7P60-iyfeLf1EEx4QNk5uKY…
