On EEVEE vs Cycles, someone tried to port a scene from the Spring short film so it could be rendered on both engines, for comparing (there's an animated comparison in the link below as well) https://www.blendernation.com/2019/07/20/spring-comparing-eevee-to-cycles/
Saw this on BlenderNation, thought it was worth sharing. Cycles really is awesome! :) The real action starts about 20 seconds in and just gets better and better! [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sJlwmvBQNfo"]Blender Cycles in action - Archviz (GPU Rendering) - YouTube[/ame]
Haha, I did a gilesruscoe and figured it out 20 seconds after I posted :D Triangulate doesn't work only these polys but as soon as I try and turn edges on them the hidden edges appear. I did spend ages trying to work it out before posting, honest ;)
Naw, he's in his 20s. He's the principle creator of content on BlenderCookie which is part of a network of tutorial sites including MaxCookie and ModoCookie, so I assume he would have consulted his fellow instructors on this. That said, he does seem to have limited professional experience outside of education.
I hope you don't mind but I have copied your quote into the article on Blender Nation: http://www.blendernation.com/2012/08/20/how-to-be-a-good-member-of-the-blender-community/#comments A few people have come back questioning whether this attitude actually exists or is a real problem. Thank you for speaking up!
Yea ZBrush owns polys. Pixologic reckon that you can get up to 1 Billion polys with HD Geometry. I think the most i have ever pushed in non HD mode was 50 or 60 million though, and with subtools performance wasn't a problem :) With each subtool you can use the maximum amount of polys your PC can handle, so if thats 10…
Has anyone noticed serious slow downs when using the file browser in the most recent version?. It doesn't matter what I do, Exporting, saving, loading ad-dons. It seems the file browser is really slow and can take anywhere from 20 seconds to 5 minutes to open up and Blender hangs for the entire time. It doesn't always…

Blender still needs you ! The Gooseberry project (the trailer is already posted here, on the previous page) is in a crowfunding (only 20 days left). The purpose of this crowdfunding is to make a movie but mainly to improve Blender, make awesome new features who fits in a production environnement . Blender will be improved…
I just started to use Blender, previously came from MAX. I'd like to ask the experienced Blender users here what is their workflow when it comes to making changes to "previously applied" mesh edits & modifiers. e.g. - you are modelling a rectangle (3x3x15m) - a bevel is made to 1 of the long edges (3 segments, 5cm radius)…
