I was thinking more about the components and not the layout, but I can see what you mean about screen space. But doing a vertical toolbar would just feel too strange and inconsistent with any other programming application, at least in my case.
Update for my bending material in UDK. It can bend in any vertical plane now. I'll try to animate grass/vegetation next. I hope I can get away with the static normals. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TcZwzODKe_0"]UDK Bending material updated! - YouTube[/ame]
tnx :), actually it's a schoolproject , the idea behind the script is to make it easier to get topology following a certain shape without having to push vertices. Like details on an armor for example. you model the basicplate, model the details shape and just project it on the curved surface But it has been great so far…
I made a Blender script that aligns vertices (in screen space) to a grease pencil stroke. Can speed up tedious vertex pushing a lot. In the process of adding support for whole objects, bones, curve points, pretty much anything that it can be useful for.…
Hi All, This is WIP Maya script to cut and snap to the higher resolution loop. Use Select Edge loops and it will add the vertices on the missing areas and it will snap it to the higher count loop. It's mostly used if you want to weld terrain to the road or so. p.s : I am doing this for my second version of the Nitropoly.…
Almost a year has passed from the release of Octopus and here is a bunch of gif animations showing you, what you can do with it. The list is not full at all just the fraction of the thing which you can do with it. Most of the menus are using a Hold and Release behavior. This means the menu is active only when you hold down…
Hey Malcolm thanks for taking interest in this. 1.in face mode, it works on face with 2 incoming edges. In edge mode it will connect ring selections. for vertices, select the t verts (verts with 3 edges connected to it) and it will auto connect. 2. space loop works on any kind of surface. however, it does not smooth the…
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ote9WxgFlxU I've always wanted to draw straight lines on curved geo at any angle, but the GPencil line tool couldn't and the Gpencil draw tool only does horizontal and vertical straight lines. I've built my own GTape tool now. I have some ideas about taking this further and truly mirror the…
Working on a primitive version of wall destruction as seen in Rainbow Six: Siege Got some holes going on there. In R6 they cut arbitrary polygons out of the walls to make the holes, this is a more quantized approach using vertices and vertex colors to decide where holes get cut out. Brick walls don't usually have a…
Hey Christian, Thanks for the suggestion! I've started implementing it. When you move between images would you prefer for the window to maintain your tweaks in terms of resizing, or would you like the window the fit to the new image. For example, if you had a horizontal image open, and then the next image is vertical. Is…
