achmedthesnake - have you got any side views. nose is the biggest thing with this likeness and it should taper more on the bridge and is too bulbous as mentioned. quite a tough one though as he is not that distinctive really Entity - is that the bloke who plays wolverine?
It's a Floyd Rose bridge, basically the part where the strings go into the body of the guitar. Looks dead accurate. http://www.electrical-res.com/EX/10-19-05/ibanez%2520s2170fb%2520zr%2520trem.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/24/38497489_9d87e21eb7.jpg?v=0
Super - coming along nice. not sure about the nose is ok, but perhaps could be pushed a bit more. bridge needs more depth to separate it from the main face a bit more ferg, great stuff, bags of style Mr Bear - I am liking the atmosphere in that scene
Ruz: Pretty good for your 1st gun. Small crit; I would replace the smoothing groups with hard bevels. Makkon: Nice work, I like how you terminate the cheek loops into the side of the nose instead of over the bridge, looks good from the side. Working on Doom (QIII style):
Posting a link instead of an image since it's 9000xSomething http://www.marklemmons.com/Polycount/Sunset_v02.jpg This is a continuation of my failed Beat-Em Up challenge a few months back. Stars, clouds, and water still need to be replaced with my own. The bridge may be turned into a log because it blocks more of the view…
Working to better my understanding of composition and value. Some quick thumbnails. 1. Nuclear explosion in large city 2. Evil fortress gates opening to bridge over lava. 3. Soldier surveying desolate battlefield. 4. Low orbit temple corridor. 5. Starcraft Marine in trench disposes Zerg (Broodwars Intro) 6. Secret meeting…
WOW Notorious PIG, that's just AWESOME! MOP THAT is ALSO Amazingly Awesome. Looks a lot like an old Ibanez Music Man I had with a Floyd Rose Tremello Bridge. Amazing render! Think you could write us a tutorial on how you rendered that? Neox - GL With Airborn. HUGE fan of your work, and GL with E3. Well, here's a new…
Lonewolf / almighty_gir: Yep, it's an RG 548 in natural ash with an edge bridge. I've had it for about 8 years now. CJE: Render settings are super simple, it's Mental Ray in Maya 2011 with Final Gather and Ambient Occlusion enabled, 1.5x secondary bounce weight on the FG with 4 diffuse bounces, a single Area light casting…
rollin: too true, but the point is that your stuff looks great. case in point right there, i cant recall ever seeing the nose bridge line extended up past the brows like that, and the overall character sculpt should fit right in (as well as surpass) a lot of the fo3 assets. nice work also neox if I haven't voiced…
Ruz: thanks for the feedback, yeah i agree with the belts, the second one needs to be turned less downwards - not even sure if i'll keep it http://images.idgentertainment.de/images/idgwpgsgp/bdb/2103112/600x.jpg more like this the funny thing about the sketched face is, that the nose is actually wider but it doesn't appear…
