Hello everyone. I spent my spring break learning zBrush and xNormal. I did a tutorial and I *thought* I understood how to do this. Clearly, something is happening. So here is my problem. I made a high poly sculpt in zBrush approximately 1 million polys. I duplicated it, and decimated it to 248 polys. I now have a high poly…
I'm trying to figure out a workflow for creating low poly models with normal maps baked from a Zbrush sculpt. Currently, I am creating a base block mesh in Maya which I am importing into Zbrush. This part of the process is working out ok but I am confused as to how I then turn the sculpted object into a low poly normal…
This show features a protagonist who wears a blue hazmat sort of suit, his hometown had been completely destroyed and he needs to get to the bottom of it. Stay tuned for episode 2 http://https//www.youtube.com/watch?v=JPN-J9kKxwY
So I know there was another thread about the same problem, but the only conclusion was it just started working randomly. I have both bridge and studio up and running but still cant get the assets to show up in studio. edit: nvm I'm dumb I only had 3d assets and not texture flats. This post can be binned.
hey guys. i tried searching for this problem but didnt find anything. when i have a lot of materials all using normal maps, max starts to confuse them with each other. It will show the correct diffuse but will grab the wrong normal map from another material even though the paths are correct. is this some sort of memory…
I have been reworking my portfolio site. I am working on new art to upload. But as far as the flow what do you guys think? I want people to see my work as soon as they go to my site. I don't want people to have to click a few pages just to see my work. That's why I have it designed this way. Are there to many sub options?…
@Mathellt It's an emission channel in SD. I isolated the pits and gradient mapped them yellow-red-black to get the glow. And introduced some breakage with noise. @skycity02 Thanks ;) Here is another pass on the coral one. I'm probably going to slow down a bit now and spend some time to to proper presentations and…
well, if animation quality is the main criteria then akira indeed pwns everything else i watched. After seeing that it just hurts to watch newer anime that use a shitload of 3D models with bold cel shaders and framerate that doesn't match the 2d stuff. and the crappy slow-mo and camera fx, colorful glows etc...
Congrats TGZ showing off your release .........but looks boring to me. Same stale office environment, same slow-mo, environments look boring, are we ever going to get out of corridors and go outside? if you going to have destructible objects, then why isn't everything destructible? I'll be passing on this one.
Thanks for your input Alex. I have never really delved into custom hotkeys before, and youre right that that may save me some serious headache. Especially between programs. I will be sure to keep silhouettes in mind as well. I have, and enjoy working low-high as well, but i often find i have more difficulty executing on…
