spec needs work, and the scratch detail on the corner pieces is too much, it;s very obvious there all the exactly the same, could tone it down a bit, and use some decals to add it back.
Looks like it just places decals or triangle strips on the ground, then it just uses a nice parallax occlusion mapping shader, or relief mapping. Definitely doesn't appear to be tessellation due to the 'lack of' shading.
For an object that large you'll have to use tiling textures. It's way too big for a unique texture that won't be blurry. You can blend different textures and use decals to break up the repetition.
i say we have a common insignia. as a "decal" .psd file, like, painted @ 128* res. so that we're all unified... any1 else up for it? quick 1 week minicomp?

Im trying to load brushes that I have downloaded in zbrush but every time i do and i go to use it and it just bulks the surface up when for example the brush would be a crack decal brush. How do i fix this
This is the revised version of the first tank that I did for my portfolio. I re-zbrushed the front cover, added a barrel cover, remove the side plates, added some decals, and modeled the headlights. I hope you like the new render, thanks
I noticed you can scale a brush using CTRL + mouseup/mousedown, are there any other brush hotkey functions available? I often need to rotate decals and it can be pretty tedious to keep having to touch the slider to do it.
This is looking great! Really like the amount of clutter on the ground level, helps to break up the ground textures and create that sense of depth that you find in nature. Are the branches decals/alpha planes or meshes?
New destruction is looking nice. Are they decals or did you go back and add Vertex Colors for a blend layer? Congrats on the Crytek Twitter post too  Looking forward to seeing more
