It looks like your model isn't centered to the origin from what I see there, so that can make it more difficult to rotate around. In addition, you can easily swap views by pressing I J K L (tapping one of those buttons also cycles views) inside of 3DO to rotate on fixed 90 degree angles. Let me know if that helps!…
mirror localX has a memmory leak in 2013... use mirror X instead... the leak is not allways present... and if your model is really high poly mud is also using system ram during painting... mud is swapping ram from GPU to system all the time.. have you turned on the gigatexel engine..? its on by default.... the giga texel…
looking nice! 3 things i think you should look out for. 1. he looks stubby still, i think if you squeeze in the "ribs" it should help. 2. the folds on the cape in the back at the bottom look too sharp, maybe soften them up a bit. 3. the huge horn coming off his shoulder looks like its in the wrong place, see, in the…
Thanks for the kind words/ annoyances haha. The navigation is an issue and unfortunately for now it is within the design itself. I will have to eventually swap out the type of gallery I am using. As far as the small images I am not sure why the site compresses them down to a smaller size. For now I will leave it as is,…
Thanks everyone! @Slosh: Totally agree with you. That was actually one of the things I was going to try and address on my next pass. I really like the quick iterations I can get using Rodrigo's method. Think what I'll try is having two or three layers of different cards/uv's that way I can swap out images on respective…
viewport backgrounds are pretty buggy, they are prone to moving and sometimes swap between views :( your much better off using correctly proportioned planes rather than viewport backgrounds. they're far easier to work with and setup, and the display quality is much much better follow the 2nd tutorial tekmatic posted. go to…
Yea, ATI had *just* gotten the kit a few days before and scrambled to have that one demo up and running on it. The nice thing about MS hardware drops is since everything is their Xbox Visual Studio / Direct X the libraries are fairly mature and they can swap out the hardware easily when they put out a new revision. It…
I was working for the MS Flight Simulator team when my lead first started doing the volumetric style clouds. It's pretty low tech really, with multiple facing sprites. He wrote a pretty cool little script where you place large boxes to describe the overall shape of the cloud, then hit a button and it fills that bounding…
Yeah I'm sort of cloning the color scheme of the reference itself. If you don't like the colors take it up with McFarlane. :poly124: Indeed the base colors are too bright at the moment. Things should darken up as I work on this. And I'll swap out the color completely if it just doesn't work. Thanks for taking a peek.…
That is the one big advantage of having so many layoffs. The surviving studios get to poach all of the best talent. I don't mean to criticize, Spark. Though slightly mercenary, it is an entirely justified response. And I'm certain that anyone who has been affected by these regrettable closings would be more than grateful…
