have you imported your lowres mesh with hard edges via fbx..? mud is only able to read hard edges from fbx... and its better to import a triangulated lowres mesh... cause mud is often turning edges... are you baking a normalmap for max..? have you turned smooth target off..? -

Detail on the gas block/barrels. This was one of the areas I'm still working with a lot, to try to add some really Kalash-feeling details and open up some opportunities for more varied mods. I'm thinking that in addition to changing the barrel with each mod type, the handguards will also all be different for each barrel… -

Looks like you threw a mud brush on it, Makes no sense. If anything camo the sides if you're wanting a "Mud" look, or use a graphic to make it "Cool". An attempt at using realistic looking dirt doesn't really work if the dirt isn't in any place that it would actually stick to, IE where the pieces of the gun meet. -

Yo, I dig. I'd say I'd go back on the skin, sharpen up the details like mad, kinda like the helmet, I'd had more colors on the skins, seem kinda boring, But Yeah, its good. It could be a great great piece, if u had details like mad, and sharpen it. b1ll -

Import Textures into Mud2011
Any tips? I painted on a horrible history ridden, nasty mesh from maya in mudbox for awhile. Saved the .psd diff, passed the obj around a few programs to clean it up, re-imported to mud, works much better, but dont know how to import the texture.
