Hi Folks, any idea if its possible to get the sculpting tools to interact with a live surface, it currently looks like they dont? Seems that quaddraw is the only way to slide along surface with a grab like brush. In past maya versions I used Dtools, but not sure if rich will be updating that tool for 2017.
Hi everyone, I have just updated my Maya to 2017 and loving all the new UV options its awesome... BUT... Where have the UV coordinates gone? I've read that Autodesk have removed these however I am reliant on certain assets to have UV cords in exact positions. Any ideas how to do this? Thanks for all your help
Guys I am thinking to get ZbrushCore 2018 is it worth. So I would love to hear your thoughts on this. I am student for now and would love to get my hands on Zbrush and could not afford it and I can get ZbrushCore. Please give me your thoughts should I get zbrushCore or save my money and get zbrush. Thanks
I've run into this problem in Max 2010, wonder if anyone has a fix. I'm unable to access map channel 2 in the UV editor. Switching to map channel 2, as circled in red, does nothing. In previous versions I get a pop-up asking if I want to perform this operation, then everything works as intended.

I transferred my Maya scene into Max 2012 because of its viewport preview capabilities - I like the cast shadows - but the textures - when you zoom out look blurry and when you zoom in they are fine...does anyone know how to fix this?
during installation of the crytek plugin for maya 2012, there comes a point where you need to edit a couple scripts in the maya.env file, as you can see in the image my file is at 0 KB and when I open it in word pad it contains no data.
