I would say hold on the model and watch some tutorials on the process first. http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/autodesk-3ds-max/next-gen-weapon-creation-day-1-the-high-poly-model/
i wrote a tutorial to for this for effects a while back: http://www.tharlevfx.com/tutorial-udk/ you'll end up with still frames so you'll need some software to recompile that back into a video. hope that helps!
Going through Tim's ( @rascal ) AKM tutorial now to learn 3DSMax and Substance Painter. Great tutorial and I've learned a lot! Just finishing up the high poly here and then onto unwrapping and texturing.
Hit the flip Y checkbox in the normal map settings, also check out this tutorial on baking/normal maps in general it has a lot of good information: https://www.marmoset.co/posts/toolbag-baking-tutorial/
wow if thats true that really is annoying. Surely in 10+ hours of tutorial there must be mention of characters and weapons and how to bring them and and use them? I also went for CE especially for these kind of tutorials.
This guy has a couple tutorial playlists loaded with Unity tutorials. I've been going through his Maya 2011 and expect that his unity ones are just as good. http://www.youtube.com/user/cannedmushrooms

Hello All, I am new to this community. I am working on some projects which need unreal engine programming. Can anyone suggest me which unreal engine tutorial is best? or Does anyone know the best tutorial in the paid version?
I checked out bobo's vertex bake tutorial (http://www.bobotheseal.com/tuts_vertex_bake01.htm), and was wondering if the same thing is possible in Maya 6.0, so far google has not helped much, was wondering if anyone knows it's possible and if a good tutorial exists. Would be much appreciated!
