I don't know if you listed this already, Xcom Apocalypse - One of my favourite after Xcom Enemy unknown UFO Extraterrestrial was good fun, about 30- 40 hours play. I got it 3 weeks ago and couldn't put it down until it was finished. Now im playing dwarf Fortress as there is nothing else out there. -

Dwarf fortress might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I highly recommend giving it a chance! It becomes a little easier to swallow if you download a graphical tileset. Also, follow some tutorials!
