I've been looking at some substances created by some awesome artists, and I can't wrap my head around how they can possibly create that with SD. Does anyone know any good other open substances that I can learn from? https://80.lv/articles/foliage-generation-in-substance-designer/
Hey guys, Since I finally wrapped up my shuttle, I wanna focus on something a bit smaller and low poly. I found these old Alien concepts that were changed in production.Plan is to start with the chair and maybe do a few other assets once it's done. And here's a super rough start to the modeling
Hey everybody, So I am new to polycount and currently just wrapped up my first mini environment within UDK. In this project i learned alot such as mesh painting, 3d modeling tricks, and lighting within UDK. Feel free to give me any type of critiques i would really appreciate it. Thank you
Thanks man! I am just working on final polishing of assets and stuff..will be wrapping up by next week or 2 probably. If you could give a crit or 2 or ref for how ceiling should look like would be great  @Aionard
@Yahska I agree with @blankz on this, you should join! Though I may be a bit biased. :P Seriously though, it's not a race and it's not uncommon for people to finish after the challenge has wrapped up. Would rather see people finish late than never even try!
I tried out this last method in a quick test, and it worked. Thanks again. Maybe I don't know enough, but wrapping a function in a struct sounds weird and hacky to me, so I rather preferred doing it some other way if possible.
I wasn't saying that in regards to if it fits over his head or not. Right now it doesn't look like a racing helmet. If I take a measuring tape and wrap it around the eye line of my medium sized helmet I get a 36" circumference.
May not be your thing, but I use velcro. Just wrapped the fuzzy strip around the back end of my pen and put the other side of the strip behind my monitor. Voila, pen is always where I want it when I need it.
Another update to my spring event Ward! Animation this time. Rigging this was a pain in the butt. I think it's rather close to finishing, but I would appreciate any last feedback before I move into the polishing phase and wrap this item up for release.
Aye, using transpose in zbrush probably makes the most sense. You could also do a quick retopo job, rig that, and then use something like a wrap deformer to deform the high poly version. Probably a good idea to decimate the mesh as well.
