I'm not too crazy about the way you rendered out those high poly models. Seems like a lot of the detail is getting washed out, but really awesome work dude! The human characters are totally awesome and the monsters are really neat too.
Thanks Monster, I have tried creating a new material for it, changing the map channel and breaking off/attaching each of the hair planes but it doesn't seem to sort out the problem. It only happens when I set the transparency to best which sucks.
Nice stuff like watching your vids! whats the last song, ''you got to keep moving or you will be left behind'' in the lyrics? thanks :) Answer: Get A Move On by Mr Scruff I always like to see face sculpting, monsters too.
maybe he had a point, but put it out in a really dumb and unfactful way :) coloured specs are awesome, but a 1 channel spec saves quite some memory! monster, your post sounded like a nice way to have the best of both worlds.
Yeah that sounds exactly like what I'm looking for, thank you Monster. I use Maya so I'l look up this Turtle Renderer. That sounds like a plugin I might have to look around for, am I correct in that assumption?
hey monster! good to hear from ya... we all miss you and hope to see ya soon!.. :-) firecracker.. we are about to have an open house.. you should come out :-D ... http://guildhall.smu.edu/fileadmin/newsletter_images/openhousespring11.html
Highest Point Monster assets for an indie mobile game called Highest Point. I worked on the hi-poly versions of these critters before sending it off to another artist for low poly optimisation. It was then passed back to me for texturing and final touch ups.
Not those crappy broken gasmasks though. Uncle Bourbon would not be pleased. SPOILER ALERT some call them monsters, I call them bitches /SPOILER oh god I love that guy. It's like travelling with a drunk russian Han Solo.
@Tea Monster - have you tried running Photoshop as an administrator, closing it, and then running the Suite afterward? Let me know if that works for you! Feloxy: Please send an e-mail to waqar@quixel.se and he'll take care of your license issue.
you should try doing a monster truck carriage design, sorta like in this drawing, http://www.crabfu.com/steamtoys/diy_steampunk/fix.jpg with the giant metal tractor wheels. And dont forget the cool machined panels, like mech parts, but with gears visible underneath
