Same with Allegorithmic. It's such a pleasure to work with them, they've already implemented things I personally requested. What a stark contrast with Adobe, who would come by every year, take lots of feedback, and then do nothing.

I've found this thread quite interesting tbh. Ok. its turned into something a bit different to the original request, but that discussion for you. It can go anywhere. And I think Polycount itself deserves some feedback and critique.
Maybe an alternative route... bake lighting into vertex color. This would avoid bleeding, but would increase vertex count on lighting seams. Or perhaps check out https://www.scriptspot.com/3ds-max/scripts/polyunwrapper I know the developer is very responsive to requests/feedback.
