Hey everyone, I'm having a little trouble filling my scene with some ambient lighting. I'm using a skylight but the issue is it seems to totally blow out the lighting in the scene and coat everything in this weird blue hue even when I bring the intensity down to 0.1. The lighting is fine when just using a point light the…
Have you tried resetting the lights? As for the light itself if you click on display (on the 3d view window), and check 'lights' you can see the actual light source. I believe shift+right click moves the light in and out, and shift+left click rotates the light.

Also play with the intensity, color, and radius(falloff) settings.…
Hey fellow Polycounters, I am trying to light some eyes in UDK and have some cool little reflections that are not part of the cubemap but the dominant light will not let me play ball. I can add lights ,which change the brightness of the model itself, but there are no spec reflections of the light itself :( I was wondering…

If in game the model should use a light environment in which case they will only ever get 1 dynamic shadow and lighting should be built. If you're trying to achieve cinematic lighting, turn off light environment on the…
so there are two things here, providing reflections from the sharper/High res version of the HDRI. From what I understand you are supposed to actually light the scene with a smaller blurry version of the same HDRI. I guess if you are using a sky with a bland sky groundscape then its not so much an issue Most of the older…
i am doing a sci fi based basement interior in unreal engine but having problem with lighting the scene as directional light just cut through the back face of the model having this wierd shadows from above and if this is not the proper way how do i light the scene
