The polar coordinates idea Rick suggested is a good one, but you'll probably want to run it on a larger version of your brick that is 4x4. I don't mean scale your bricks up 4x but tile it 4x4 then run polar coordinates on it. It stretches and the outer edges and swishes the center horribly, but to get something that's… -

Here is the current moss clump I am using - It a sphere with some randome cards poking out. I think 1 or 2 more clumps with different shaped will do the trick. But The texture could use a little bit more character. Also what it looks like on full blast with a material that randomized the tint. -

Thnaks for the advice, looks like the 4080 it is . I was a bit concerned about the later RTX cards for the reason you mentioned ie overheating. can't afford to buy a fancy brick :) Not sure what GB the 4080 is, would be good to get 24 , though more likely 16
