Off a great start. @Solid_Otter! You can probably sculpt the floating skull, or do skull and use fluid particle for realism approach. Focus on the character first tho, the skulls are only BG effects.

Honestly, everything but the skull is working for me. I would look at an anatomical drawing of a skull, model it front and sideways, then plop it halfway into the gun. It doesn't need to be exactly precise, but you're missing the forms that are the hallmarks of the human skull.
