I use a suite of scripts called Ninja Dojo, which isn't free, but has a script for straightening UVs (which is what I meant to say in the first place). I believe nightshade UV editor also has a function like this, and it is free.
Anyone know of a good solid script to be able to do this like in max? im not a max user.....not for lack of trying to learn it on the side though, but i want to be able to vert paint like in max, i found this script on but havent tried it, wanted to know if anyone knew of anything better?…
This is my new script !!! This is part of a bigger script pack for making modeling in Maya easy and comfortable. currently it only has live Boolean + auto merge-beta as bonus ! But there will be more tools added soon as update i hope you guys like it ! https://gum.co/KJlnz https://vimeo.com/213253019…
Curious, what's the general concept of that script? When you submit a material made in designer it duplicates a copy into the Painter folder? What if you make an edit to the original? Do you run the script again to update the duplicated material?
the wall thing looks neat. the rocks script gives you a bit too little influence on how the displacement maps look. with a bit of replacing stones by hand the wall script should result in some nice tiling textures.
Thankx md4cow for the script. Anyone has script for moving scale pivot as well? not just rotate one? Figured out: xform -ws -a -rp 0 0 0; ToggleScalePivots; xform -ws -a -sp 0 0 0;
I ended up making macroscripts for all the most useful ones (mainly the align, and also added a few of my own) - it's quite easy, you can find my scripts here: http://www.greveson.co.uk/scripts/mopTools.ms
Sorry, I read this a couple of days ago but forgot to say thanks. I remember trying that script before and it getting intermittently disappearing meshes so I stopped using it. Whether it was the script or not is another matter. Cheers anyway!
Hi, I've worked on a script for Photoshop that takes a layer and distribute it and wrap it to a path. So I decided to ask here if anyone is interested in it, if so I will continue tweek it. Here is a preview on what the script is doing now: [ame] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZj_tTH2MRk[/ame]
I've tried some of the normal thief scripts with 3ds max 2018 but some don't work and others cause crashes. Has anybody got a script that works with 3ds max 2018 that i can use to transfer normals from a sphere to my tree branches ?
