I like the simplicity of the model, but I think I would dirty it up a bit. The texture looks good too, but overall it looks like something I would expect the Dwarves to create, not the Skaven. It looks more noble than a message of death.

Near as I can tell its a scale issue from however you have it set up in Maya. That tool is scaled so large that it dwarves the floor grid and transpose wont even snap to the vertices. If I scale each subtool -100 five times each it works.
To me she reads as a female dwarf, which is okay if that's what you're going for, if not, you should avoid the very small hands with the big head and short legs. I would go for something like below, but that's what I would do, and not necessarily what you should do.
