it was an interesting read. I didn't expect it to be so thorough, well done. Let us know if you do more of these type of analysis. The transformation Ezio went thru and the complex and emotional unraveling plot made him so popular among the fan base, indeed.

You might need to reset xforms: pivot and scale. Then re-rig.

Once you clear the pivot, it should jump back to where it was.

Can't you disable the IK and then move the position of the pivots around?

The default option always changes the pivot to the last place on the tool that you click.
