@Shyralon Personally I preffer to view portfolios in a browser since I am already working in that environment. Also sending an extra attachment is convenient but it can take up a lot of storage space, recruiters also use our phones to access our emails and viewing attachments can be prohibitive. Good luck!
Fixed some of the hue and improved some things about the texture... One question I do have, is should I angle the weapon so that the blade is angled at about 45 degrees between straight up down for better visibility from the top down view without destroying the close up view?
From an employees view I can totally see that but I was thinking more of if it would be seen as a positive in terms of hireability i.e. from the company's point of view. I guess maybe a reason why they would want you to know Japanese is so they can circumvent the, as you put it, "shit umbrellas" if they wish?
I love it all but the 'opinion' aspect of it, which is very light in this - so great job! What I mean is: Maya is generally viewed as better than 3ds Max for animation. 3ds Max is generally viewed as better then Maya for modeling. This might be true, but its far too subjective to be held in the wiki, IMO.
hello! this is also my first time posting here. the model looks good but the proportions of the legs are a bit unnatural in my opinion. the feet should be bigger and the legs a bit smaller when viewed from the side. when viewed from the front the lowerlegs seem tobe a bit too wide compared to the thights.
Just a quick thing - I figured out that you can use Flickriver to view an individuals work, so any Flickrites might want to post their links. So, the shameless self promotion continues: http://www.flickriver.com/photos/rickstirling It's actually a much nicer way of viewing a photostream. Post your links!
Here is the link to my Article as promised. Feel free to comment here if you like. These are my views and my interpretation of the views expressed by some of you in the threads I have made on various forums. I am not a writer, I just wrote this to help out a site I have been a member of for a long time. Its an interest…
Can you please show a wire of the un-smoothed car? Also a top front and side ortho view. Screen Grabs from the view port work just fine if you don't want to render them out. Also are you working form any blueprints?
Ok I think I fixed the problem. The side closest to the view is now more concave while the side further from the view has the more convex curve around the crystal so it matches the concept better. Any other errors that look like they need fixing?
Well, there's actually a script out there for object based x-ray view. I think Maya's default x-ray viewport option applies to the whole scene. A custom shader might be cool, but also may not be necessary because an x-ray view is typically independent of the shader.
