I look forward to seeing this. I'm no movie critic, though....I pretty much like everything. The Governator passed the torch to The Rock in "The Rundown". The Rock IS the new Arnie! Personally, I think he does as good of a job as Arnie did in the same kind of setting.
Do we ever have a treat for you. Some members of the amazingly talented environment art team over at 343 Industries have put together an article on creating the environment art for one of the largest releases in video game history - Halo 4. This article was written by the artists at 343 Industries - not us - specifically…
Good work, looking pretty solid so far. Two things that really stuck out for me are the quality of the textures on the rocks in the zen garden (both on the ground and the individual rocks) are pretty blurry and need work. The other is the walls, in the concept they have much more rounded corners then what you have now.
I really like the stairs and the pillar, but like spectre1130, I am also having trouble figuring out what the last one is? at first I thought it was a tree but then in the last picture it kinda looks like a rock path with grass in-between the rocks? Keep it going! I love the hand-painted style.
Yeah, I'd prefer it if only the one post was widened, and all the others fit the window like usual. It's annoying to have someone post a single wide-ass image and then be forced to scrub left-right for every post to be able to read it. That would rock :poly106: Oh yeah, polycount smiles rock too!
I played it with my best friend for hours on end, till he knocked the megadrive and the savegames gor erased :'( A while back I looked out the rom and finally completed it The intro tune rocked! Also the title screen music to chuck rock had an awesome riff in the middle.. gotta go listen
Looks beautifull! I wouldnt mind more depth, the sky is looking a bit dark and it would be nice with some more detail on the streets. now all the rocks are normal mapped only. some small rocks, papers, things lying around could ad more life.
oh that's a shame... i'm not really sure what you mean by the full process? that won't include the creation of the specific rock texture from this tutorial will it? i actually love that result from your quick doodle, don't know if there's any decent tilable rock tutorials out there
I've got my new studio lighting and scanned few more seashells (screen in attachement) :) Also, see my scanned Croatian beach rock I've found on vacation :) I might make small pack of those kind of seaside rocks :) [SKETCHFAB]b321e586d0e34c858618d36d10382229[/SKETCHFAB]
