Hi everyone !!! When i see the contest of league of legend i see a good opportunity to work with my favorite character, JARVAN IV. I liked all the pool party skin so i decided to make a POOL PARTY J4 with a little brainstorm I finish with good ideas ( i think) for the Prince of demacia. When he ult someone he trap his…
I only visited SF for holidays but like the article says it boggles my mind there is so much talent there and the harsh reality they need to survive in. Some cool devs from Zinga took me for a tour inside the building when I was there and I remember being impressed at such a large facility in salty salty SF. Working in the…
Eariler this year, CrazyBump creator Ryan Clark finally saw his project come out of public beta and in to a fully developed, purchasable product; A tool for normalmap generation that some say is second to none. CrazyBump managed to pave its own way in an industry where tools of many uses are available. I had a chance to…
Hi everyone, I was creating a background image for an assignment at work, and a friend of mine showed me a very cool tool in photoshop cs3 for stitching panoramic images. Anyway, although its designed for panoramas, being that Im into creating characters I decided to try this tool to create a face texture and ended up with…
That would be pretty cool, would be nice to see some tools given the same critiques as models get. Help even a place where you can get feedback of what features artists are looking for and what UI and work flow works best. Id love to see more kick ass artists tools come from PC.
I wished something like content aware fill working in sync on heigh and color channel Artomatix style Ai selection working to recognize patterns on texture images in a word something like this . Sadly nothing like those , Even the patch tool, the rare thing I still use in photoshop is not as good as in Affinity photo. But…
Nah. To be more informative, traditional sculpting is fun and cool, but it's also expensive and you still have to learn a ton of tools that aren't the unnecessarily user-unfriendly zbrush or 3D software tools that you would be dealing with daily at any character job. Don't get me wrong, if you have the opportunity readily…
A while back our 2D artists who typically work on tile textures and puzzles where having to texture some 3D assets that where uniquely unwrapped (normally our 3D artists handle that stuff) and they wanted to see it applied to the model and tweak the UVs a bit, not unreasonable but they weren't going to buy seats of Max or…
We need to fix models that have self-intersections. Some of their triangles intersect with other triangles in the same mesh, which then causes Z-buffer sorting problems in the game engine. The intersecting areas flash on and off when seen from a distance, because the Z precision is low on certain graphics cards. I'm…
little hairtest with fibremesh - took about 35 mins, no polygroups, 1 big scalp using move tool and groomer hair toss obviously I could go a lot further, but I finally found a way to do this relatively painless - mask out bits of the hair then move it out with the move tool to get more clumping
