Your first concept direction makes me think of Nashandra from Dark Souls 2. I don't know if you're intentionally or unintentionally pulling inspiration from Dark Souls 2, but I thought you should be aware of it in case it's the latter. EDIT: Just saw Nashandra in your reference sheet, derp.
Thanks @JohannesAg , didnt realized these skulls mistakes while sculpting, specially the cheeks and the eye part, will keep that in mind on my next attempt. It's been a while since my last post and that's becaue of college and some health problems, oh well, i did a little bit o practice on sculpting these days but not in…
@gannon thanks for the advice! I agree, my texturing is definitely one of more weaker points. And nice catch on the water buckets! I modeled them on the shoulders of my character and never realized that the wood wouldn't stay hovering in air....? derp @jackablade here you go, like I said texturing isn't my best trait :/
LOL sorry guys, totally forgot... Derp. Yeah, first one was Shakespeare Much Ado About Nothing (there is a movie for it), second is Jack Kerouacs On the Road. I figured no one would get the first so I came up with a second. Feel free to move on, if Blankslatejoe wants to go he seems to be the closest :p
@ AimBiZ : hehe, yeah that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the feedback, I hope this feels a little better. Bit more. I am getting no time on this at the moment but I managed to squeeze some progress in though. Thought it might be cool if he had some derp fish for special attacks. More soon I hope.
Hey all, Just a quick question regarding Quixel Suite 2 - Is there some way to add decals and text through dDo painter, with real time editing via 3DO? Perhaps I'm just derping out, but I can't seem to find an easy way to load up a decal and place it on the mesh. Same goes for text. Any insight on this would be awesome!…
Its hush hush because these major companies spend a lot of time and money on developing tools, software and unique workflows that give them an edge on competitors. It's proprietary knowledge that devs couldn't break even if they wanted to without being under NDA. A lot of higher ups I would imagine can't talk about it…
@ m4dcow: Ahh, i figured as much but was not quite sure that that would actually have an affect to the AO. Tahnks for pointing it out. I will put the model back into place and then re-bake... i was dumb enough to not set a Time Line so i cant go back to how it was before Exploding :P bad habits i guess. @ GeeDave:…
there's already a proven method for unknown indie devs - have a playable version of the game and sell access to the beta. Also, Doublefine is the second million dollar kickstarter - the first to break a million is an iPhone stand made by some guy named Casey: link. If you make something people really want, they will fund…
that's an excellent point... No matter how desirable one might feel a toolset might be for another package I have always refused to develop on a software that is ultimately going to hamstring my time and resources. Not that there aren't a cult of developers building up blender but I don't see any exciting threads at TAO…
