Yeah it's a tough one. I don't know how others approach it in features and what not. Best I can figure is put the loop on a path, that gives you a good block out. then go through and plant the feet with constraints or key-frames, adjust the turns etc. Would love to hear how other people handle this as well.
I'd say its quite good really, given the constraints, tho I dont know what the brief or the concept was. I agree w/ pretty much all of Snaders comments, he seems to have pointed out the same stuff I noticed. Mostly just some poor choices on yer poly distribution.
I had set a time constraint for this little project but it's a good idea to learn how I can use sketchfab, will see if I can get something done! I think ur right about the bricks. I really liked building this because it's still a solid way of building an environment, only less time consuming.
I rigged a quadruped with a similar joint configuration and I found that using a Rotate-Plane solver IK still can work. Try attaching it to the joint closest to the "armpit" and the joint in the ankle. That way, you can have the forward-facing knee controlled with a pole vector constraint. This would allow for a more…
If you set it up right, this is what it should be doing. Notice the orange and pink pieces are separate from the tread. The pivot for the orange piece is at the vertex center of the orange screw. The orange is parented to the green. The orange has an aim constraint and is looking at the blue pivot. The pivot for blue is at…
Some obvious stuff but maybe it'll help. Dunno what kind of engine you're working with, but some decent decals can cover a ton of ground really quickly. Start with the biggest objects you'll be repeating the most. Get some good lighting and skybox in, most bang for your buck with a time constraint Good luck man.
Hello, sorry for the late reply. I agree with you on that fact that removing the armour would be more "Link-like", but due to the constraints of the project set by lecturers, we cannot go too close to the original design of the character, and have to make a certain amount of changes. I do however really appreciate the…
why did u choose the position values for the light in the script? More importantly what is the importance of the position of the light relative to the cube? ( fer example will the cube be a look at "aim" object or a position constraint for the light? ) Without knowing it's next to impossible to suggest a strategy for…
I think you aced this, That pot belly is bothering me too but i understand the time constraint. what if you use the same color you used for that hanging lamp? that would be a lot more striking and really pop in front of the house maybe even compliment it a little. but that's just and Humble opinion. looks great man!
I dont really think that it's going downhill or getting useless. As mentioned, its at a transition moment. Ever since this mobile technology was released (smart phones, tablets), there has been a huge split in the market between consoles and mobile which just used to be all consoles. Eventually, I think that the large…
