@Walgrind, the items would need in separate files - and if we take the Accepted part of the Dota Workshop as any indication, you will want to submit each item separately as well. First, what modeling program are you using? You're gonna need to get some SMD exporter/importer plugins for it. To compile MDLs out of SMDs is a…
Hey there, I am working very hard to improve my skills. I will post my latest Dota2 set here. I have the mindset to work until I find success. Obviously I have some improving to do, but i would really appreciate some feedback on how i can get better renders of my work. Video of set in action:…
mmmmm, I don't really mean the size of the blade, I mean the size of the details on the blade. Say the patterns on the blade for e.g., if you made them with a size 5 brush, you should probably go back and rework them with a size 15-20 brush. I think silhouette-wise the blade itself is ok, but you might want to relook at…
3,700 votes, out of 45,000 views. A huge part of that vote count is how long it's been sitting in the top 1-3 spots, because anyone that goes to launch dota 2 from steam will see it in the window and potentially click on it. Also I'm fairly sure we determined early on it was definitely getting heavy traffic directed to it…
What i find interesting about much of this is the change in chests, and Valves move away from single items towards a focus on sets. Which i think makes sense to a degree, as previously the income from a single item in a monthly chest could outweigh that of a reasonably selling Set, which isn't really equitable for artists…
@daniorrr, I like the set generally overall but I think a few things could be improved. For the bow, I think mirroring it side to side would be better. The rotated wing makes it a bit hard to read.Looks like it's flipped upside down from one side. Also I think you could highlight the edges better and it would read better,…
There are more and more tournaments these days, and I can imagine Valve maybe wants to take a new direction on the whole tournament bundles. If you ship every tournament under 25k with a set with particles it migth be a lot of work for them. Mainly because the tournaments often are really late to ask about bundling a set…

I'm using 3DS Max and am having a lot of problems getting my piece to import properly into the workshop. No matter what I do to my model, I can't seem to get it to import to the correct spot. The closest I've gotten can be seen at the left, but even then it's still not right. I don't know if I'm following the wrong process…
Yeah it's quite closed and underhyped if I'm honest. You can buy an invite instore which comes with a bunch of common/uncommon/rare items (or the equivalent names) for I think £24 ($40?). OR you can find someone to trade an invite with, the trading will differ every day I imagine but I traded 2 treasure keys bought from…
