I can't speak for Japan but working jointly with China it was frustrating how everything had to be superficial, soap opera beautiful. So many cool monsters got axed because they were too ugly or scary. At one point Chinese designers wrote a zone that had Fairies & Unicorns as the mobs.
Everyone (well, maybe not literally everyone) ragged on Doom3, but I thought it was pretty awesome - even with the monster closets. Been looking forward to Doom4 since the end of 3, so yeah - definitely psyched for this. Do we know if the story is a continuation of the one set out in Doom3, or is it a standalone scenario?
The coolest thing on your site is the large monster, too bad its not your work, and its displayed much larger than any of your work. Your anims are good, but the first thing you think when you see the site is, hey cool model!.... Oh, its not his.....
I got mine the same way Monster got his (MGS employee). Picked up an extra controller and the wireless net connection and got it all set up last night. Thought Kameo was fun, and PGR3 nicely polished, but I'm not a fan of racers (other than Mario Kart).
I don't think so, I'm pretty sure you know lots of people on Polycount that played it mainly for the fact that it has Monster Hunter Tri. Unless that doesn't count for some reason. Other than that I think the last Wii game I played was probably Skyward Sword.
Obviously you haven't played Gears Of War then? 2048x2048 x2 for the head, 2048x2048x2 for the body, 512x2 for the spec. Then 1024x2 for the THIRD PERSON view weapon, and then 512 again for the spec. Just on one guy. Every other person and monster is the same. Polycount and texture res wise, this is fine for next gen.
The fact that they put up all the new tutorials on Zclassroom says to me that they really did think that it was a release candidate. It's a complicated monster of an app these days, not a big surprise that they ran into a couple of show-stopping bugs at the last minute. The hype is working on me though : can't wait to try…

Thanks guys :) I definitely agree with you I an extent mag. I had to kinda rush the shark and shelled monsters. I was actually surprised how the shark came out but the tan and green guy, I think I spent about 4 hours on the texture, not by choice though.
I dont know why I havent seen this before but it just made my morning.. the awesome fat woman that pukes and shits everywhere.. ahaha awesome.. is on my want list.. One thing that kinda kills it are th uber big demons and monsters.. they'd squash you in a second.
