So I post adjacent to him in the CG girls thread (of which he has made a stunning entry as we know), and i see TEH CAKE ICON! it's 12:42 my time, so it's only just been his birthday less than an hour! happy birthday man!
I'm 42 and have been gaming since the arcade days. PC from doom onwards. I still gasp, gape and giggle with glee whenever I get my hands on a new title. Good to see we have so many 'mature' Polycounters.
I don't know about an actual chart (I'm sure one exists somewhere), but Andrew Maximov touched on this in his video on PBR. He's on Polycount but I forget his name here. Check around 8:42 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LNwMJeWFr0U
£23 = $42 not $30, we are definitely paying more not less. An average Tshirt here in the uk is about probably £12. I will see if I have any money left later this month. can we really use those spreadshirt coupons for the polycount Ts?
Hi there. Here's a couple of tutorials that I found useful for getting to grips with metal texturing: http://www.game-artist.net/forums/spotlight-articles/42-tutorial-hard-surface-texture-painting.html http://cg.tutsplus.com/tutorials/photoshop/how-to-hand-paint-convincing-metal-textures/
the nurse reminds me of the chick from mad max road warrior. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jchBjZ9OkBg 7 seconds, 42 seconds, and 1.45 I need to go get that movie! lol Great work! love the characters! Makes me envious :( heh
Did I just watch some movie there. :D Also looks like they're using screen space reflections now. Around :42 s soldiers silhouette casts a shadow on the reflected floor. Later also his boot has gap on the bottom side.
Coming a little closer to #42, which is when I plan to wrap this up and do private morning warmups instead. I feel like I've gotten most of what I wanted out of this little project. Of course, I'll continue drawing daily regardless...! :)
I use a 42 inch 4k samsung display at work. It's really nice. I wish it was a 46inch though because it would be the same pixel density as my 27 inch 1440p monitors. Also, Windows 7 sucks at 4k. :( BTW, what brand monitor is that?
I think I might start posting regular class drawings once a week instead of just peppering things here and there. Here is week #42 of 2014. Inkbrush croquis, daily skulls, conte studies, life drawings in charcoal... Same old, same old:
