I think what you're seeing is that the cylinder I modeled is a 5 shot whereas what you have in mind might be a 6. A colleague said the same thing. I might create a 6 shot just to remove the confusion.
Im sculpting on a cylindrical object and have 6 points of radial symetry trying to sculpt 6 points of an identical design, which is awsome, exept when I push, the point opposite of it pulls etc. I know theres proboly a modifier to solve this. Any help would be apreciated! thanks!
Hey guys, i just needed some help on texture effeciency. I have a model i'm working on, its is some sort of saw mill portable mission, you could say its a mech, and its detailed at like 40k tris, and in scale its pretty big. I am uv mapping it and i ended up making 6 different uv maps. Is this too much for the model?…
For a saving of (6 * $3500) - (6 * $800) = $16,200 I can probably switch back to MEL. Our "indie" tools are mostly for content delivery. I guess I'll just have to see what works and what doesn't with a demo of LT.
Here's voting results thus far. EDIT::: The Conquistador is at 6 (thought it's 7,failed at counting, sry.). tied with the SciFi Powered-Armor Girl with Dual Blades at 6. The Doctor (:P) and the Powered-Armor Neo-Nazi Officer are tied at 4.
well it took me nearly 1 hour to get the model done and uvmapped, then about 6 hours to paint the texture.I usualy start modelling and forget about anything else for 6-7 hours non stop lol like a machine
8/16gb is going to run dual channel no? So even if your memory clock there is higher, 6/12/24 in triple channel config is likely going to give better performance. I haven't looked at your mobo, but i imagine its one that supports both LGA1066/1366(or whatever its called) the i3/i5 and highend i7/xeon shit.... I think the…
