I'd definitely be up for this! I haven't been on a google hangout before, but I understand it's about streaming and chatting together right? The benefit of an actual group is we can review our work at any time, and we have deadlines to complete to. So yeah, let's make this happen :D
Coming along great! Brendon Isaiah Bengtson was doing this on stream with Milan, and Milan concepted the back for that. So I'm sure you can find more pictures or some of what Milan was thinking about it if you have a look at that. :) This is looking really well though! Keep up the good work!
Many U.K. ISP's already use traffic shaping on specific types of traffic. Have done for years. EDIT; need to concede that slowing bittorrent, TV streaming and gaming during peak hours is not really the same as essentially charging for net from both the consumer and the content creator for good service.
Under 1mb is golden, whether jpg or png or whatever web format floats your boat. Anim GIFs are a bit different IMO, under 3 mb seems to be OK. Though something like GIFV is better, since streaming video is generally better at preloading than stuttery GIFs.
guys, i had and idea im creating a thread to link all the tutorials, working in progress videos and streams, so people could easily get to them. Going to add the ones i remember but please, any other helpful link just post there so i can update it! =]
I'd lose the black crack in the ground texture; it's distracting and doesn't really fit the environment. This is a very wet environment - whether the ground fog in the concept indicates a stream or not, it does reinforce the idea that there's a lot of water in the air. I really wouldn't expect as much yellowing as you have…
@Laurens Cheers mate :D @Purplepaint Haha! You cant combine the student and unemployment discounts together but they are both valid on the streaming packages and bundles which adds up to some really nice savings :) @Sean_EG I will have to speak to Riki about that and see if he has time :P
well as promised here they are, the videos are compressed a lot so it will stream fast so you might see some pixelation in some parts. on the baked i only baked the structure and floor. on the rendered one i have included rgb, normal/spec, shaded and wire passes. Rendered Baked
Made a lot more progress today on the Deagle, hand painting chrome because I enjoy punishing myself. Need to go in and clean it all up with laso and gradient bucket. Streaming my process of this on Twitch if you wanna see me struggling... https://www.twitch.tv/slimefaces
I know part of the problem is that there are a constant stream of new people. So could it help if this sort of information was part of the general sign up process? Like on the sign up page or after they click the confirmation email they get sent to an info page like this, or before their first post.
