I did n't really get much this year, being old and what have you, but treated myself to a scale model of the titanic. Have to glue and assemble it. Should keep me busy till next year:) what did you get?
We have a great small tight nit team of 6 hard working people so if anyone has animation skills and wants to get involved in this project and there is more projects planned after this Please get in touch Thanks alot
The intended personality of the character usually is helpful for something like this too. Is he suppose to be a generic SAS soldier? For instance, the head on 8 looks to me like an unkept nut, who has spent too much time alone in the woods.
i'm not a maya nut but generally speaking: icons need to die! when i was using maya for jobs i made a set of shelf icons that were just text labels to get by. the amount of semi-meaningless icons in maya is crazy.
Thanks! Good idea, I'd have to come up with a really simple way to get the details of the spine without going nuts on the poly count, I think its going to be rough optimizing as it is with the simple handle. I'll try it out!
Great selection of Heroes this time around. I'm going to jump in with Tide, update the cannon i have and base a set around it. I'm thinking, netting, rope, old glass fishing floats, fish, shells, scales etc etc.
Thanks, I just wondered what your opinion was as an actual user of an ssd drive. Reading a couple of articles now, it seems they are ideal for operating systems but for mass data storage... a 2tb ssd drive for 6 grand. Seriously, that's nuts.
Tried YT yet? there's usually some lag as I assume you're well aware, for a comprehensive set of learning material to eventually hit the Net after a new release, also digging around on Modo dedicated forums is another option.
Awesome, awesome, amazing work... just wow... Yep I agree, I love the snap shot of motion, very inspirational. I hope you do that just for dramatic effect it would drive animators and character riggers nuts.
I had this same kind of problem getting max to run first time on vista x64, had to download .net framework and updates then patch max from autodesk hotfixes then ran it as administrator, dunno if that's what you were looking for?
