This looks great! I feel like I'm looking at official artwork from the game. I've been wanting to get into some stylized PBR pieces kind of like this. did you paint in any of the lighting? (such as the wrinkles in the wings, or the edge highlight on the edge of his chest plates, and some of the horn corners) Or is it all…
Kind of an update Been quite absent as of late cos... new job! Got a contract with PING (yep, the golf company) doing environment art on a project so had to backburner a few personal projects for a bit sos I could feed myself Loving it here and got a few updates on this and other projects coming as well...
really good quality concept! Personally Im not a big fan of the design, its pretty slick but it kind of looks like 2 different spaceships put together - wings of a tie fighter which are all angular and sharp and then this bulbous rounded central ship and engines which feel more like a rebel or civilian craft to me.
Depends on your preference really, and also the situation as well. If you have a clear concept and plain laid out than a making a base mesh first might be the best way to go about it. However if you only have a general idea of what you want and just kind of winging it than dynamesh might be the best way.
another quick update, i've fixed up the rear wheels and sorted the roof. The rear wings are also bigger and fit with the car more. also added in the thrust vector nozzel and the zigzag under the window. Also fixed the ring on the back to a more horse shoe shape, and cut out a gap at the bottom of the jet thruster casing.…
Trying to show off iterations. I didn't resort to a lot of thumbnailing, just trying to see how far I can go without it and kind of just winging it by what I know of design. I trust that if I had brainstormed a bit, even just a bit, these would of turned out better, in the design language side, that is.
eek! lol, your splintered UV layout make my eyes hurt B) Anyway, I'd also put a few hydraulic hoses in there for readable plausibility, hmm...difficult to tell from that concept but I think the artist would've added them and as for grungy weathering, heavy machinery especially real-world stuff tend to attract grime/dirt…
Hello to my fellow polycounters! I’ve been working on a character in the evenings after my day-job, in hopes of pushing my portfolio forwards. In the past I’ve either had a fairly generalist portfolio, or the chosen designs were not visually strong. I’ve reflected a lot lately, and decided to push forwards with a stylized…
Hello folks. After playing SH2R I was curious how to make cloth and plastic like game has in hospital basement. It might not be physically accurate, but most of the time looks convincing enough and most importantly - pretty cool. A is straightforward, this kind of thing I can do since this is what most tutorials show -…
