Finally after alot of blood, sweat and tears our first casual game is finished! http://www.bigfishgames.com/downloads/avast/index.html Yeah its not anything fancy, but still a pretty awesome feeling to finally have it up! We are now working on our 2nd and 3rd game titles! -Jerry edited for spelling!
hehe.. cmon, normal maps can do whatever you want them to. you can use them simply to make a model appear smoother. it doesn't automatically mean super detailed texture and pores and veins. i know that's your point too EQ but it seems to need spelling out :)
congratz !! this looks great for a first !!!! trust me !!! ok your edge loops need work on the high poly. but you did great !! you need to model your low poly to match the silhoutte (spelling arghh!) of your high poly better. but you did great for a first !!! my 2cents
If you're referring to that imagine I posted: 1) They were initially Tweets, so they had to be kind of truncated. 2) They were written fast after reviewing 80 - 100 portfolios. 3)They were on my phone and I have goofy thumbs. :) But, in general, yes. Spell check and editing are good things.
hahah, i was expecting to be wrong when i saw the title of this. do you have a ref pic of the actual engine? alsdo you have some weird poly density (i cant spell) issues, some of this seems really high poly but the prop/drive shaft seems really low....

Good progress. :) My criticism is that the model's head seems quite rigid on the neck. When he does his magic/spell towards the end I'd imagine he would look down as he charges his magic, then look towards where he's aiming as he's about to fire it perhaps?
I loved 8, the Magic system was fun, and it made getting those high levels spells a biotch...My thought on the story...Well I played and loved 7, and it made a whole lot of no sense...and 8 was just as fun!! Even though the story was crazy, I played it and beat it a couple of times...
Yup - think of exactly what you just spelled out as the problem, and therein lie the solutions. You've got complete control over the UVS, so make the back a bit smaller if you want. Make the front plane of the nose a bit thinner so that you get the sides to fit too.
yeah, it's important to realize most people are probably lying to you or spinning the truth. It becomes easier to buy a car or house or negotiate a pay raise. Greevar: actually they had posters up on the walls at the financial aid office that spelled all that out with sad cartoon drawings of people who defaulted on their…
