Hey all, I recently finished this sword (original concept by Maeve B, Link to the original concept here. I did this with permission and as part of a assignment for my school. So I just wanted to show case this here because why not? Link to the full project here on my Artstation page :) (also all the cool videos are there!)…
Good day/evening everyone, today I mustered enough motivation to chase an old dream of mine of making my own proper videogame calling it "project ALT" for now.but before even tackling the drawing board for that one I decided to start a small test project that in order to pickup any missing skills that i might need for the…
Great critique, spot on actually. For starters, the basic idea was of a clan's leader that had to face his challengers in this place as tradition. The weapons were laid there at the challenger's disposal to take on the leader. The character's accessories could use more detail, sculpted as well as painted, I don't have any…
If going for high end realism, probably sticking to artstation challenge guidelines is fine. Otherwise, find a studio that makes art similar to your style and try to figure out what kind of technical guidelines they usually operate under. You could even find an artist that works at such a studio and message them directly.…
My life can be summed as an encyclopedia. I try to have my worldviews challenged constantly, because I've had far worse experiences living a life of ignorance then constantly being told why I'm wrong and how I can learn from it. I actually worry about the day when I can't be told why I'm wrong. It's for the exact reason…
I think this is my first post here ... or maybe second. At any rate, I've read so many great threads here and gained so much mileage from reading the wiki that I figured I should show something I did recently. "World of Level Design" is holding another one of it's challenges and this time around it was a haunted house…
when the dangerous coastal duels commence there is one snailien that slides above all challengers! its sam "slaughtersand" cargo, one of the meanest combat crustaceans in the galaxy. he wields a cruel escargot fork that he uses to shred and stab his foes apart before eating their remains in a disgustingly foul victory…
It's a good start, though I wonder if you've got a goal for this piece. Since you're transitioning, I would suggest working off a piece of concept as it'll give you focus. At present it looks like you've sculpted a semi-photoreal rock with almost cartoony features, some definitely cartoon-like flowers and cartoon-like…
I'd be in if the brief is interesting enough & hand painted textures. :) Would posting our threads here be a good and ideal idea? Maybe a team up theme? Someone concepts the other models and they can both texture sort of deal, so we can get concept artists in on this idea, also we could probably throw in some environment…
