Wow, I didn't know someone had taken up the mantle after this: http://www.polygon.com/comics/2015/8/17/9164977/batman-lenny-robinson-killed-accident Very nice work on the Batmobile. Looking forward to seeing some pics when they finish building the real thing based off it :)
My guess is Chani? Looks great already and I love the suit design. Though I think you could add more stuff on her and use different colors on those. Check this concept out; http://fc09.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2011/018/e/7/dune___chani_costumes_by_gorrem-d3737h3.jpg
If you are looking for the free 3D content pack that's featured in the announcement, you can find it here: http://www.reallusion.com/iclone/event/2015-contest/download.html Top of the page has free iClone software and the bottom of the page has a link to download the free 3D content pack including the characters. Rock out!
http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games/ The way alpha cards are placed there is how I did mine. Use proxy meshes if you need to create separate groups of volumes; don't just rely on your character's head for the base.
I've never used snapping when making inorganic objects... I just make sure all the points line up (not hard if you start right) ... failing that, Absolute transform type-ins get the verts in the right place. Then again, I don't like anything but a 0.5 degree angle snap
I'm saying that it might have been a 9.4 +0.5 bribe or something. Realistically I believe neither that GTASA got 9.9 without any external help nor that the 98% score in the "world exclusive" first Half-Life 2 review was objective. Even almost perfect games don't score that high.
I read some of the dev diaries for that. The game sounded really fun. You worked at 2015 in Tulsa right? I sent an email there a few months ago (since they are the only developer in OK) but got no response. I figured after Men of Valor got mediocre reviews, they might not be doing so hot.
trying to follow this; http://www.3dartistonline.com/news/2015/04/how-do-i-create-real-time-hair-for-games/ but im not clear on step 12 and step 14. It tells you the basic concept of how to do it, but requires knowledge of other things. is there a video tutorial of how to do this specific technique? would really appreciate…
Was suppose to be just a head bust but I got a bit carried away. Done in zbrush except for the cloth base was made with marvelous Designer, still need to add some detail to it. not sure how far I will take this piece I got the body from my Comicon 2015 piece and did some adjustments. Was originally suppose to be just a bust
