Hair can be tricky. Something that may help is to establish a scalp and block in the hairline first. Currently your hairline isn't clearly defined and is a bit off.
For me, it's not an "either or" situation where there must be only one king of the hill. IMO, the hill is big enough for multiple apps. Blender and Maya can trace their roots back nearly 30 years. Maya's dominance and foothold is really an issue of timing more than anything else. In Maya's case, it origins go as far back…
First I gotta say beautiful gun however it could look a LOT better. My guess is you are rendering this out in Marmoset? Awesome! I'll break my feedback down per material pass first and then on to the model itself. DIFFUSE Orange feels REALLY saturated and over the top and I can see what appears to be a ton of AO in the map…
@Creamy_Goodness hi, although you've stated that you dont need anymore help with the model sheet problems you had, i still want to share some of my opinions on this whole thread, i hope you dont mind! Looking really good, I love it. If you’re up for it, consider adding a bit more story "gamification" to make the piece even more engaging. Try to tie your creative decisions back to function and context. For your bunker scene, this means ensuring each object reads clearly from the player’s viewpoint, that the environment…
Short(ish) playthrough of our first greybox pass submitted for today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RU3M_fI2S5c The movement blueprint for the cat as well as the lighting for the scene are very much still a WIP - the cat placeholder we're using is currently substituted into the default Unreal third-person character BP…
