Seriously, what the hell happened to fun co-operative games? I purchased Two DS's; One more myself and one for the Mrs and there seems to be a lack of any co-operative games. Sure there are plenty of head to head games but nearly no Co-op. And since multi player doesn't work with Advanced Titles (no Four swords, etc) I'm…
So, found this old thing laying around. From a personal project a friend and I had. Since it's not going anywhere, I might as well post it for kicks. Model by me, texture (unfortunately not finished) and concept by the amazingly talented Mr. Ptoing Flat shaded texture WIP: Wire (yeah, could be optimized quite a bit, my bad…
Hi guys, been a while Recently I watched Pirates of Caribbean and got a little inspired to try to make a pirate. Instead of Mr. Sparrow I decided to try to go with a woman based on my own concept. innocent look and deadly, hope in the end will turn that way. Some work in progress pictures, still far from done: hope you like
thc for the quick reply! i do have a skylight that i used to render my AO map but I did hide it.. Ill try to remove it from the scene. Should I also disable the lighttracer? As for the black dots, you mean the supersampler or lighting? And ill try to reset x-form my objects. THX alot mr. gray ^^
I have to second what Mr Tart said, the edges on this are still super crisp, they're not going to look anywhere as good as they would if the edges were really exaggerated. It's looking great otherwise dude, I love the subtlety of the edge sculpt details, cant wait to see it baked..once you've soften those damn edges <3
hmm that's weird. It doesn't do that by default. I just tried setting up two spot lights with light fog with their cones intersecting and it rendered in a pretty sensible way. Are these being rendered on layers? Is there anything unusual about the way you have them connected to the shading engine? edit: oh, also just to…
hey, check out this set of tutorials shoudl help answer your normal q's http://www.3dmotive.com/training/3ds-max/baking-tips-and-tricks/?follow=true also there is a big thread by earthquake in the tech talk section which has a lot of helpful info on normal mapping (props to Mr Moody, he's around here somewhere)
I like to have a card to give to people who give me their card. It is also nice to give to people whose cards I want, because often they feel obligated to give a card back. Like a lot of this stuff, it feels like playing Mr. Jr. Business Man. I have a hard time taking it too seriously.
It's been a while, Mr Jones. I feel kind of inspired to have a crack at doing something similar with the piles of half finished characters I've got lying around, but much like Gir, I suspect it might take me years to polish them all off. Ezio is looking pretty solid thus far. Is he wearing sandals?
Mr Smo - Thanks! This isn't the final scale. First I want to bake down everything, and then I'll lay out the scene with the final meshes. At the moment I'm just testing the textures in the engine. Here is a small update. I made a crate and the parallax still works surprisingly good on this too :) These are just some basic…
