[ QUOTE ] why mention where they are from?. it sounds a bit like , ohh those foreigners don't know how to use tolilets properly!. [/ QUOTE ] Perhaps they don't. Some cultures still don't have indoor plumbing. So before anyone else replies and this conversation becomes another pointless race influenced flame war...shut up.
Awesome texturing, I love this stuff. I know it's probably lower on your list, but since you're doing regular alpha blend, those flames might look better if they had a non-black background. right now they have a bit of an alpha halo. If you were using additive blending black would be the way to go though.
No flame war from me. My only real headache (so far) with Max is my current, painful lack of knowledge in it. I was just baffled that with as many make-things-squishy tools as Maya has that you hadn't found an analog. I'll definately give those soft selections a try. This plugin sounds awesome, it's great news.
In memory of Captain America!! Here's my first Design for Forza, it's still a WIP, when I get home tonight I'm gonna change the gay looking flame to something that looks more like sparks. I'm also gonna add some more colors and other details as well so the design pops from the surface a little more.
But what is it that I don't understand? I've been playing video games for 20+ years. Why would someone like me, who clearly has a vested interest in game art production and will likely release his own game some day, want to lie or distort something that clearly affects me at the end of the day? If someone has the answer to…
Usually people use distance, bevel or blur nodes and some blobs style noise multiplied on top of it to create some elevated edges around tears but it never looks very realistic really especially on walls. And requires lots of miss and hit . For wall paper tears bending down with air pockets and plaster bumps /wires pocking…
I created a flame using maya fluids. I'd like to make it behave as a light source, so that it could influence the surrounding objects. Is there any way to achieve that? I remember watching a while back a video from Disney animation called "Interactive Lighting of Effects Using Point Clouds in "Bolt". It showed a way of…

If this was my shot I'd cut the 3rd jump and have him only do 3 jumps total instead of 4. His second jump would take him to the closest pillar and then he'd jump down from there/ because these jump are mostly the same. Four is repetitive, even 3 is maybe too much, but you could add a little scramble or something into the…
