I'm trying to select uv edges on my lowpoly model, but the option in the uv editor for selecting contour edges does not work on those types of models. either works, it is just easier to use the move UV's tool, or select 1 uv in the shell, and use the to shell. since it is rather hard to select to perfectly overlapping UV's with the plain old click selection or box selection.
Modo has a "repeat selection" function, so you select 1 vert, then select the 2nd, and just hold down the left arrow key and it will continue that selection. Then go up to the next row of verts and do the same.
In Maya the face selection for my character's body mesh is all bonkers-crazballz (see image), but face selection for other meshes in the scene behave normally. I tested the mesh in Blender and it selects fine there, so it seems like it's only broken in Maya. The model is an FBX imported from zbrush.

Hi Polycount, I was wondering if there was a way of getting around having to select each layer/bone individually every time I want to select the bones to add to a skin modifier? I'm fairly sure that you used to be able to select the collapsed biped and it would automatically add all of the bones . Thanks in advance.

Selection Highlighting in max makes selection a lot more reliable, but then selection works completely different from how it normally does (holding ctrl without clicking flags everything you pass over with the cursor to be selected when you click) If only it worked more like Silo's selection highlighting.
