No that was because you made a sweeping statement without anything to back it up. I don't care if you use notepad to model with. I'd bet money that you don't even really know how to use Silo though. If you're going to compare two things, either know what you are talking about and prove it with examples or expect someone to…
Less techno more beats... Honestly I can't say much to that but what game would it be for? I like the third song with the more piano touch to it than the other ones (I hear too much tunes with techno beats in it) it's more immersive overall. I'll show this to my bro...he studies music on the side as a hobby... Not bad for…
Yeh i get what you're talking about, you cant have the cages intersecting or else you get errors on your normal bakes, got ya :) Good to see someone is following my thread, helps to keep me motivated, thanks a lot! Hopefully more updates 2morro morning because im too tired to work on the model right now.
Can you guys tell me what a "movable" is used for? I had one but it gave me super weird problems on the specular. Right now my character is just a static mesh. Are you saying having a skeletal mesh instead would give better lighting/shadows? About the physics attribute/volume, are you talking about having a collision…
Thanks so much for that Crit Joseph, really came in handy. Here's my current progress, in temrs of dealing with those shapes you were talking about. I need to clean up the eyes a bit now and do one more thing to the lips. But I want this completely finished by Sunday because I want to get on with the rest of my character…
hmm I think you got a great model here but the reason why it doesn't quite look elite yet is because of the posture almost all the time in the game the elites are hunched over like they got bad scoliosis or something here's a good example of what Im talking about you can see how he is bent over at about mid torso
thanks guys i have mainly been considering not to put them up because of more recent work i done that i think its much better but i will wait and decide when i finish this 2 other character i am working on. Sardu:thanks. ahah you know Dave, if i talk to him i will make sure i do :)
We talked about this a little bit awhile back. Not much for artists to do here, it's really going to be driven by the tech itself, except to keep the lines of communication open with your programmer buddies at work. They're the ones who will be creating the actual cuts, with their 1337 coding skillz. Well, besides…
If 2048 is rediculous for a dumpster, then what about 1024. I model everything in inches, and consider a 512x512 good for about 8ft x 8ft, so maybe 1024 isn't so bad for this dumpster since we would be talking cubic feet. I think my original 512 was a little too low, and thus looked bad. I may give this another shot soon.
Ive had to do several couple minute-long animation clips before with 10,000 frames or more. I've never really had an issue with this before. Was Mocap animation fed through MotionBuilder. Even in max I've worked with several thousand frames before and its been fine. Just curious...are you talking about bone rigged…
