Hi, I am trying to create a some simple flat modular pieces but I cannot seem to find out how to render these. What I am currently want to make is a brick wall, it is flat but not a simple rectangle. I unpacked the UV's of this low poly model. I followed a tutorial and somehow I am missing something. It goes wrong the…
Hey all, I'm mid-way through my major project and this is where I'm up to so far. Any feedback would be appreciated, whether it be compositional, technical, or relating to the realism. I've still got a few more small plant species to add in and I will be including water which flows from the opening in the brick wall and…
Ok then, if that slice of the marketplace is a primary focus, you'd better have "all your ducks lined up in a row" too begin with. Q: - Previous experience running any sort of small/micro business, (15+ staff) whether online or brick-'n-mortar high street storefront?
is it just me or does this weapon look bad? Does it have a normalmap at all? Those grey lines are painted and don't look real :/ I really like the look of the two deathmatch maps, but the car map really hurts my eyes. Don't like the brick textures at all.
The vertical streaks seem really arbitrary. I'd expect them to be concentrated under the overhangs - the text, the coin slot, etc. The bottom rust spot makes a degree of sense, but those in the middle feel rather random. The bricks are much too small, and could really use a normal map.
Inside update. I think I'm gonna add some trim, some vines, and some broken wood floorboards. BTW any ideas what else I can use to flesh out the level? Besides rocks trees and bushes. Also I messed with the colors of the bricks.
Nice progress man. I spent a minute or two on this paintover to sort of illustrate some of the things Jessica pointed out. Also, currently all the bricks are perfectly aligned. You may want to break it up in terms of scale and overlapping, but without ruining the tiling aspect of it. Here's an example:
Loking really nice, I love that cartoon. About lightning, in original it takes much greater area, while in urs it is only around a bike. While texture quality is good, wall bricks are to big. Anyway gj, I guess u dont have to copy all things.
i understand, yeah the wood would be ok to detail a bit, because the nature of this particular building is the walls are fairly smooth so the wood detail will pop good with it and not seem out of place, maybe also the low porch wall as well with a little damage revealing brick underneath to balance it
yeah posting in the right thread will definitely get you a job in the industry:) what references did you use for the back of the seats ? - they just look like simple bevels and don't really read very well. There is also some weird tiling of the bricks under the two tall windows.
